hi5 was using a variety of icons and buttons throughout the site without a standard look. With the development of “Friend Updates,” a news feed feature for users, even more icons needed to be created. This allowed for all of the sites icons to be redesigned into a basic set, which included a style guide for their use. hi5’s “Fives” were also redesigned to match the new illustrative style. Fives are small, descriptive icons that users can exchange with each other for fun and to show off.
